Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"),[1] is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

Everyone is a little bit broken, but the history of our recovery can contribute to beauty as we allow ourself to heal. We don't need to forget what has happened but can celebrate what we have overcome. I love working with this style for paintings and bringing depth to my art and personal journey. I hope it will be meaningful for others as well.
